Visual Studio 2013 Release!

Visual Studio的新版本越來越緊密。
過去十多年由VS6 > 2003 > 2005 > 2008 > 2010 > 2012 到現在2013。
我都經歷了7代，可算是hardcore fans。

不過坦白說，最有驚喜還是2003至2010那段轉變。

Android Studio not start - Require 64bit JDK

下載試用一下Android Studio，一開始已經出現錯誤，說找不到64Bit的JDK。


其實雖然我Windows 7是64Bit，但所有軟件都是用32Bit，特別是好像Android Studio這類Eclipse base IDE (還有PDT, Aptana Studio)，為了與Plug-in有最好的相容性，還是用32Bit版本較好，當然JDK/JRE都是32Bit吧。

上網一Search果然有很多人都中伏，

他們大多數都提出加入環境變數 :
ANDROID_STUDIO_JDK , JDK_HOME , JAVA_HOME

若你根據文中的解決方法，但跟我一樣堅持不安裝64Bit JDK的話，最後都會搞不好。
因為問題在於安裝程式會把Start Menu的Short cut指向64Bit的Execute - studio64.exe，所以只會適用於有64Bit JDK的環境。


所以若你想用回32Bit JDK運作，可以在安裝目錄找到studio.exe，執行就可以。
暫時我用的0.26版本感覺很不穩定，玩一玩就好，Production use還是用回ADT吧。

SQL Server Replication - 遠端TCP/IP連線解決方法

若設定SQL Server Replication，照著Wizard指示，Step-by-Step做設定，問題應該不大。
若Publisher跟Subscriber在同一個網絡，相方都可以用電腦名稱或Instance Name去連接 (e.g. SQLPC\SQLSERVER)。

但若果任何一方是在遠極端(Remote)，當你一如正常使用IP做伺服器位置時，SQL Server便會出現錯誤訊息。

Sql Server replication requires the actual server name to make a connection to the server. Connections through a server alias, IP address or any other alternate name are not supported. specify the actual server name

正如訊息所說，設定Replication連接必須要電腦實名。
以我的情況為例，SYSERP這部Publisher電腦IP是10.128.88.5，Dynamic Port : 49304
但怎樣設定才能令本機電腦(Subscriber)知道SYSERP的IP是10.128.88.5呢?
修改電腦System中的Host檔案?

若你第一時間上Google Search，其中一個解決方法是叫你修改SQL SERVERNAME。
例如 : http://ramymahrous.wordpress.com/2010/02/25/replication-error-sql-server-is-unable-to-connect-to-server/

因為SQL Server不會自動去更新本機名稱，所以使用這個方法，只有因曾經人手修改電腦名稱。
我個人建議不要使用這種做法。

最安全和無風險的做法就是隱藏在SQL Server Configuration Manager，平時最不起眼的Aliases


Aliases就是讓你設定別名，以IP對行Mapping。

以下圖為例，就可以把SYSERP主機換算成10.128.88.5:49304。


之後返回設定Subscriber時，輸入"SYSERP\SQLEXPRESS"就可以了。

若反來是Publisher連不到Subscriber，亦可以照著這方法去做。

VS2012 build/debug website cause System.OutOfMemoryException

我的VS2012前天出現很奇怪的問題，就是接手一個很久前完成的ASP.NET 3.5 website，
放在VS2012上，debug或者是build時，在"Validating Web Site"的時候會呆滯，而且會大大消耗系統Resource，之後便出現Error。

An error occurred loading a configuration file: Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown. C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\config\web.config

這問題在Express版和Pro版都是一樣。

但這個website應該是沒有問題，web.config都沒有問題。
因為已經是有好5,6年歷史的產品，Production上還沒有什麼問題，
但我估計是VS對App_Code或Bin資料夾裡頭的東西出現了問題。

最後我對著Project > Right Click > Property Page，把Before running startup page設成No Build就可以Debug了。
但這是一個不太好的方法，因為只可以執行Debug的動作，而沒有解決Build的問題。

最後我還是下載一個VS2008版本編輯這個website就算了。
